The Monthly Meander.
Walk. Talk. Wonder.
There has been something quietly sitting on my heart for a long time.
A desire to bring the women I work with together.
One of the greatest privileges of my work is sitting with women from all walks of life and hearing their stories. The dreams they haven't shared with anyone, the worries that keep them awake at night, the challenges they are navigating behind closed doors, and the hopes they carry for the future. Whilst every woman's story is unique, there is one thing I see again and again.
So many women believe they are the only one.
The only one feeling overwhelmed. The only one questioning what comes next. The only one struggling with confidence, relationships, menopause, stress, grief, work, motherhood, purpose, or simply the pace of modern life.
Yet sitting where I sit, I know something different.
You are not alone. You are never alone.
Every week I find myself saying those words to clients. Over time, I realised there was a difference between hearing those words and experiencing them.
What if there was a way for women to experience that for themselves? Not through me telling them, but through meeting one another. Through conversation. Through shared experiences. Through discovering that many of the thoughts, worries, questions and hopes they carry are echoed in the lives of others.
The Monthly Meander has grown from that desire.
Not another workshop. Not another thing to learn. Not another item to add to the diary. Simply a chance to gather.
To connect, in person. Make new connections, maybe even friends.
To spend time in the company of like-minded women and be reminded that community still matters.
In many ways, this feels like a return to something we've always known. For generations women gathered. They shared stories, supported one another through life's challenges and celebrations, and found comfort in knowing they didn't have to carry everything alone. Somewhere along the way, many of us lost that. We became busy. Independent. Self-sufficient. Connected online but often disconnected from one another.
The Monthly Meander is a gentle invitation to reclaim some of that connection.
We'll meet at Crumb Bakery in Millhouses before heading out for a relaxed walk through Millhouses Park and the surrounding area.
Maybe I'll introduce you to my favourite fallen silver birch which makes for a magestic seat!
Some months we may stay local. Some months we may wander a little further afield. The destination isn't really the point. Being together is.
There is no agenda. No pressure
to share. No expectation to be anything other than yourself.
Some women may come for conversation. Others may simply enjoy walking quietly alongside the group. Some may arrive knowing no one and leave having found new friendships.
All are welcome.
Because no two gatherings are ever the same, there may occasionally be opportunities to pause along the way for a shared reflection, a simple visualisation, a moment of gratitude, a group EFT tap, or even a little group energy healing beneath the trees. Nothing formal. Nothing expected. Simply an invitation should the moment feel right.
The women who find their way here are often kind, thoughtful, capable women who spend much of their lives supporting everyone else. This is a chance for you to be supported too.
A chance to step away from the demands of everyday life for a couple of hours, breathe some fresh air, move your body, and remember that you don't have to navigate everything on your own.
Perhaps Walking Without The Map was never meant to be a solo journey.
Perhaps some of the most meaningful moments happen when we realise there are others walking beside us.
